Where we cover

Air Conditioning Services works with independent local installers across the South West of England. How much choice of installer you’ll have varies by town, mainly because it’s a reflection of how many independent installers are actually established in that area — so this page sets out, honestly, where our coverage is strongest and where it’s thinner, rather than claiming even coverage everywhere.

Bristol — our home base

Bristol is where we’re based and it’s the anchor of our coverage area. It’s also the largest urban centre we serve, with the biggest concentration of independent air conditioning installers of anywhere in our network — which means if you’re in or around Bristol, you’re likely to get the widest choice of quotes to compare. It’s the town we get the most enquiries for by some distance, for installation, servicing and repair alike.

Towns with established coverage

Beyond Bristol, we have working relationships with installers covering these towns and their surrounding areas:

• Bath sits close enough to Bristol (around 13 miles) that it functions as part of the same catchment area for most of our installers, rather than needing an entirely separate network — several installers who cover Bristol also cover Bath as a matter of course.
• Swindon, in Wiltshire, has a smaller but genuinely active local installer market, and is one of the towns outside Bristol where we see the most consistent enquiry volume.
• Cheltenham and Gloucester sit close together on the edge of the Cotswolds and are often covered by the same installers, so we treat them as one practical sub-region rather than two separate markets.
• Exeter, in Devon, has one of the most established local installer markets of any town we cover outside Bristol — there’s a genuinely competitive local trade there, even though it’s further from our home base.
• Salisbury, in Wiltshire, and Taunton, in Somerset, both have smaller but real, ongoing demand for air conditioning installation and servicing, and installers who regularly take on work in each.
• Plymouth is the furthest point of our coverage, roughly two hours’ drive from Bristol. We do have installer relationships there and see genuine enquiry demand, but it’s a longer haul from our home base than anywhere else on this list, so response times and installer choice can be more limited than closer towns.

Limited coverage: Yeovil and Bridgwater

We also take enquiries from Yeovil and Bridgwater, but our installer presence in both is thinner than in the towns above — there’s real, if modest, demand from these areas, but fewer installers actively covering them through our network day to day. If you’re enquiring from either town, we’ll still try to match you with a suitable installer, but it’s worth knowing upfront that your choice of quotes may be more limited than someone enquiring from Bristol or Exeter.
